Diana

After retiring from a well-paying role at a construction company 13 years ago, Diana discovered Kaki Kampong Seniors Wellness (KKSW) while helping her father find a seniors’ activity centre. Drawn by the programmes and mission of KKSW, Diana decided to become a volunteer. Leveraging her administrative skills, she assists with tasks such as taking attendance, fee collection, and reaching out to seniors to check in on them.

Since she began volunteering at KKSW in 2011, Diana’s life has been greatly enriched. She has not only grown personally but also in her faith, which has brought her a deep sense of fulfilment. She believes these strong social connections have helped her avoid early dementia, and she continues to volunteer and foster new friendships. These relationships, built on shared experiences, have become a pillar of her golden years.

You can help more seniors like Diana find purpose and community in their golden years by supporting our #TheGoldenYears (Season of Giving) campaign, which raises funds for the work we do with seniors at KKSW.
